When stringing up yarn (36) on a texturing machine at start-up, the yarn is taken from the last roll (16) to a guide tube (18) fitted with an injector (19) and projected to a suction device (25). From there it is then picked up by the empty package sleeve (23). The exit (27) of the guide tube (18) can be moved (30) to different positions to facilitate transfer.
