<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of surely preventing the forgery of image data in a simple constitution regardless of whether or not driver software mounted on a host computer is provided with any function for preventing forgery. <P>SOLUTION: A host computer 101 is connected through an LAN 103 to an image processor 102 such as a copier outputting high-quality image or colored image. The image processor 102 identifies the presence/absence of the forgery preventing function of the driver software when inputting and outputting image data through the driver software mounted on the host computer 101.
