<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve the problem of the reduction of water during the operation stoppage of a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system is provided with a reformer 1 reforming fuel by using water from a water tank 4, a capacitor 3 recovering water from the exhaust gas of the fuel cell 2, variable restrictors 11 and 12 attached to a capacitor outlet, and a capacitor temperature sensor 10. Water recovered at the capacitor 3 is returned to the water tank 4, and the variable restrictors 11 and 12 are controlled on the basis of the detected temperature of the capacitor temperature sensor 10 so as to balance a water budget in the system. The system is provided with an outside air temperature sensor 9, an operation stoppage lost water amount predicting means for predicting a water amount that is reduced before the capacitor temperature drops to an outside temperature during stoppage on the basis of the outside temperature, and a water increasing control means for controlling the variable restrictors 11 and 12 so as to raise capacitor internal pressure the predetermined pressure higher than pressure for balancing the water budget for a predetermined time in operation after starting in response to the predicted reduced water amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
