<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically arrange a next hierarchy menu in an optimum arrangement position with respect to a first menu when outputting the next hierarchy menu in regard to the first menu. <P>SOLUTION: A paper size memory 26 stores a size of printing paper, and a menu selection information memory 32 stores a position of an item selected by a series of hierarchical menus. When arranging a plurality of hierarchies of menu images in overlapped states and printing them out, a menu arrangement processing part 34 discriminates the size of paper stored in the paper size memory 26 and the selection position of the selected menu in the menu image of each hierarchy stored in the menu selection information memory 32. When arranging the next hierarchy menu, it is arranged to the right if arrangement to the right is possible, and it is arranged to the left if arrangement to the right is impossible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
