PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a thin cell case for a lithium cell by molding a metal plate as thin as is not used in the past, without using any laminate film not suitable for a lithium group cell, and then to provide a thin and light cell with excellent liquid leakage resistant property without moisture permeation property. SOLUTION: In the thin lithium cell housing an electricity generating element in a cell case formed by molding a metal plate, the cell case is formed by sealing and jointing a thin case having an opening on a surface parallel with the electricity generating element and a lid plate put on the opening.
