PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying device for efficiently drying the sludge dehydrated by a solid-liquid separator. SOLUTION: The inside of a rotated and driven cylindrical body 2 is partitioned by a partitioning plate 4 into a plurality of dried-matter conveying passages 5A, 5B, 5C, and 5D, the partitioning plate 4 is composed of a plate heater, the sludge T is conveyed in each of the dried-matter conveying passages 5A, 5B, 5C, and 5D while rotating the cylindrical body 2, and the partitioning plate 4 composed of the plate heater is made to generate the heat, to dry the conveyed sludge T by the heat.
