METALOXIDIZING METHOD OF POLYETHER POLYOL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring method of reaction progress of converting hydroxy groups in a polyether polyol into metaloxy groups. SOLUTION: In a process wherein polyether polyols react with an alkali metal alkoxide to convert hydroxy groups of the polyether polyols into metaloxy groups in a reaction apparatus having vacuum evacuating and stirring devices, whether or not target reaction rate is attained is judged by direct measurement of viscosity of reaction liquid in the reaction apparatus, and then the process is terminated.
