PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store and carry a housed commodity without any damage even when the commodity is packaged in a double-wall type gift box without any lid body covered thereon. SOLUTION: In an auxiliary packaging material in a double-wall type gift box of a square overall shape, a first bottom wall auxiliary part with a longitudinal width substantially equal to the longitudinal width of the gift box and a transverse width substantially equal to the transverse width of a bottom wall of the gift box at a center thereof, first and second side wall auxiliary parts with the width substantially equal to the height of side walls of the gift box on both sides thereof, and a second bottom wall auxiliary part with an adequate transverse width on both sides of each outer side wall auxiliary part are connected to each other via ruled lines.
