PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for bending a thermoplastic synthetic resin sheet for heating the thermoplastic synthetic resin sheet near the portion as ridge line and bending it along the ridge line, by which the vicinity of the ridge line is uniformly heated to prevent deformation caused by melting at both ends of the ridge line. SOLUTION: A synthetic resin sheet 1 in which a groove 1a is formed in advance along the portion as ridge line is placed on a pair of heat shielding plates 3, 3 arranged at a space 3a, so that the groove 1a is placed above the space 3a. A pair of sheet materials 9, 9 are placed so as to be brought into contact with both end faces 1b, 1b in the direction of the portion as a ridge line of the synthetic resin 1. The air heated by a heater 5 arranged below the space 3a rises in the space 3a as shown by an arrow, and rises above the heat shielding plates 3, bypassing the plate members 9, 9, not passing by the end face 1b. This enables uniformly heating the synthetic resin sheet 1 near the center as the ridge line and both ends of the ridge line. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
