MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR POLYESTER, POLY(ESTERAMIDE) AND POLY(ESTERIMIDE), AND USE OF MATERIALS OBTAINED THEREFROM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a polyester, poly(esteramide) and poly(esterimide) which is useful for a fluid separation membrane and a high performance material. SOLUTION: There is provided a method for separating gases not less than one from a gaseous mixture including a stage that the gaseous mixture is brought into contact with the first side of a gas separation membrane, a part of the gaseous mixture is permeated to the second side of the gas separation membrane and a part of the gaseous mixture is collected as non-permeate, the concentration of components of one or more of the gaseous mixture formed in the second side of the gas separation membrane becomes higher than that of the gaseous mixture in the first side of the gas separation membrane. The gas separation membrane is formed from a polymer containing ester bonds in the main chain and the polymer is formed by a polycondensation reaction of acetyl chloride and phenol in the presence of catalyst.
