PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus that can be inserted deeply into the lumen. SOLUTION: In the endoscope apparatus having an intraluminally self-propelling mechanism in the insertion portion of an endoscope, the insertion portion is formed of a plurality of flexible pipes 102, 103 and 104, and balloons 112 and 113 as self-propelling mechanisms are provided in each of the flexible pipes 102, 103 and 104.
