<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garment for supporting the leg, efficiently protecting the knee, keeping the knee joint stable, decreasing no degree of knee motion freedom and useful for preventing medial collateral ligament injury. <P>SOLUTION: The garment for supporting the leg has elasticity and crotches worn appressedly to the body and supporting the leg, wherein a part 2, expressed as a stretchable part (A) having comparatively strong restraint, practically covers a collateral ligament 3 at the inner side of the knee joint of the human body, surrounds more than about a quarter of the kneecap, reaches the side part of the inner gastrocnemius muscle and/or the soleus muscle and, at the upper side of the knee joint, has a elastic part (A1-1) 121 having comparatively strong restraint and, along sartorius muscle, starting from near of the greater trochanter to reach near of the waist along the iliotibial tract and, furthermore, a needlework seam 50 of the garment body making foot cylindrical goes through on a part of the rim of the elastic part having comparatively strong restraint without passing through a collateral ligament region of the inner side surface of the knee joint. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
