<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic damping device which can be placed in a small space and exhibit large braking force. <P>SOLUTION: The electromagnetic damping device is equipped with a long and narrow common bracket 8 extending along the outer periphery 9a of a disk-shaped object to be damped.
