<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of removing dust etc. attached to the surface of a filter automatically, storing the removed dust for a long time, and collecting it simply. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner includes a heat exchanger 3 which is furnished at its top with a filter moving means 56 where the filter 6 moves between the front face and the back face of an indoor unit along the heat exchanger 3 and a dust removal part 5 to collect the dust attached to the filter 6, wherein filter accommodating spaces S1 and s2 having a length corresponding to one piece of filter are provided in front and in the rear of a casing, and thereby the dust is scratched off automatically without drawing out the filter 6 to outside the casing 2, and the collected dust is fed out by a dust feeding means 58 and stored in a dust accommodation part 582. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
