<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to optionally designate a program execution procedure in starting a system to which an operating system is supplied by a ROM. <P>SOLUTION: In starting the system, a CMOS memory is referred, and if a file name is not registered in the CMOS memory, an automatic execution file stored in the ROM 21 is executed. If the file name is registered, a file designated by the file name is executed.
