<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric collector which is made to be continuously operated by preventing the occurrence of short circuit even when a discharge line is disconnected. <P>SOLUTION: Winding reels 18 are disposed opposing to each other on both ends of the position where a discharge line 8 is disposed as a discharge electrode 9, and the both ends of the discharge line 8 are wound on the winding reels 18. To the winding reels 18, a winding force feeding mechanism 20 is connected to add the winding force in the direction to give tension on the discharge line 8. The winding force feeding mechanism 20 is composed of a small diameter gear 21 attached on the axis 19 of the reel 18, a large diameter gear 22 engaged with the small diameter gear 21, and a spiral spring 24 assembled with the axis 23 of the large diameter gear 22.
