PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding die for molding an optical device which is capable of facilitating the take-out work of the optical device. SOLUTION: A molding die 1 for molding the optical device is provided with: a lower die 3; an upper die 5 fitted to the lower die 3; a body mold 7 for housing both dies 3 and 5 while allowing both dies to freely slide vertically; and a base 9 located below the body mold 7 and serving for supporting the contra-molding surface 3b. A glass material 20 arranged between respective molding surfaces 3a and 5a of both dies 3 and 5 is press-molded. A passage 9a for passing a rod like body 15 for pushing up the lower die 3 in the body mold 7 is provided on the base 9. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
