PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aromatic polycarbonate resin composition which, in spite of containing no bromine-containing or phosphorus-containing flame retardant, exhibits excellent flame retardancy, melt stability, and recyclability without detriment to the mechanical properties inherent in aromatic polycarbonates. SOLUTION: This aromatic polycarbonate resin composition comprises (A) 100 pts. wt. aromatic polycarbonate, (B) 0.01-3 pts. wt. one or more types of inorganic compound particles selected from among acicular inorganic compound particles, platy inorganic compound particles, and branched-structure-containing inorganic compound particles, and (C) x pts. wt. at least one metal salt selected from an alkali metal salt and an alkaline earth metal salt. The (x) is in the range satisfying relationships (1): -3.5*Log(Mw)+12.5≤Log(x)≤-2.0*Log(Mw)+8.0 [wherein (Mw) is the weight-average molecular weight of the aromatic polycarbonate (A)].
