PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an aluminum alloy sheet superior in apparent characteristics, by inhibiting occurrence of a ripple pattern forming on the surface of the sheet in continuous annealing treatment, together with a superior bake-hardening property. SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy includes 0.2-1.5% Mg, 0.3-1.6% Si, and one or more elements of 0.03-1.2% Cu, 0.03-2.5% Zn, 0.03-0.4% Mn, 0.03-0.4% Cr, 0.03-0.4% Zr, 0.03-0.5% Fe, and 0.005-0.2% Ti. The manufacturing method comprises solution treating a rolled sheet of the above Al alloy in a continuous annealing line, with a tension of 1.8-7.0 MPa at a material temperature of 500 to 540°C, then cooling it to room temperature to 120°C at a cooling rate of 5°C/s or higher, and heating it within 30 minutes at a temperature between 60°C and 120°C, for 30 minutes to 48 hours.
