PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder and an image forming device provided with the same capable of reducing a size and cost. SOLUTION: A separating and feeding part, which is provided with a conveying means 14 for conveying a delivered sheet and a separating means 15 which is in press-contact with the conveying means 14 and wherein rotation in an opposite direction to a direction for conveying the sheet is transmitted, and which separates and feeds the sheet delivered by the sheet feeding means 6 one by one, is provided on the downstream side of the sheet feeding means 6. The separating and feeding part separates and feeds the sheet delivered by the sheet feeding means 6 one by one. A reverse rotation preventing means prevents from transmitting rotation of the conveying means in the opposite direction to the sheet feeding means 6 when the conveying means in a state that driving force is not transmitted by a rotation controlling means rotates together in the opposite direction to the sheet conveying direction by the rotation of the separating means in the opposite direction.
