PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for both sofa and bed whose constitution is simplified and which is easily changed to a sofa or a bed. SOLUTION: The apparatus for both sofa and bed is provided with: a first leg member 2 which is provided extending in a width direction on a lower surface of one end in a prescribed direction of a main frame 1 and has its lower end projecting outward from one end of the main frame; a second leg member 4 provided extending in a width direction at the other end of the prescribed direction of the main frame and supports the main frame nearly horizontally with the first leg member; a movable frame 7 which is rotatably connected to one end in the prescribed direction of the main frame; and a movable leg member 12 whose upper end is connected rotatably to a lower surface of the movable frame to nearly horizontally support this movable frame at the same height as that of a support frame and whose lower end is engaged with a middle part of the first leg member by rotating it with the upper end part as a fulcrum when the movable frame is stood up at a prescribed angle to keep the movable frame at a prescribed standing angle.
