<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To be capable of detecting an abnormal shadow better than a conventional way in a method by comparative reading of a medical image. <P>SOLUTION: A normal structure image forming means 10 artificially forms a normal structure image Pc corresponding to an inputted medical image P. An output control means 21 sends the normal structure image Pc together with the medical image P to a subtraction image generation means 31. A subtraction image Psu expressing the difference between the medical image P and the normal structure image Pc is made in the subtraction image generation means 31. A detection means 32 detects the subtraction image Psu of which the pixel value is larger than a prescribed value as an abnormal shadow candidate, and sends the detected result to the output control means 21. The output control means 21 displays various images and the detected result on the display face of a display means 22, or sends it to an image keeping means 40 and keeps it by making it correspond to the medical image P. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
