<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of maintaining the inner section of the housing clean and cooling the inner section even when an air filter is clogged. <P>SOLUTION: A duct 40 having an external air supply hole 41 connected to the outside of the housing 6 and having both a first ejection nozzle 42 and a second ejection nozzle 43 is built in the housing 6. An air supplying axial fan 45 and the air filter 46 are built in the duct 40, and the outside air filtered for removal of dust is taken into the duct 40. Cooling axial fans 49, 50 for blowing the filtered outside air to a fixing device 25 for yellow and a fixing device 26 for magenta are provided in the vicinity of the first ejection nozzle 42 and the second ejection nozzle 43. Gaps CL1, CL2 are formed between the ejection nozzles 42, 43 and the cooling axial fan 49, 50, respectively as air supply holes in the housing. When the air filter 46 is clogged, the air is supplied to the cooling axial fans 49, 50 through the gaps CL1, CL2, thereby circulating the air in the housing 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
