<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize uniform image-forming over a long term by preventing electrification by toner left after transfer even in cleaner-less constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus performing cleaning simultaneous with development has a belt type image carrier and an electrifying device for uniformly electrifying the surface of the belt type image carrier, and is constituted so that the toner left after transfer on the belt type image carrier is transited (bypassed) from the upstream side to the downstream side of the electrifying device without passing through an electrification part by bringing the surface of the belt type image carrier into contact with the electrifying device on the upstream side and the downstream side of the electrifying device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
