PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bobbin for optical fiber core wire capable of preventing the optical fiber core wire from being damaged when it comes into contact with a connector connected to the optical fiber coated fiber.

SOLUTION: In a flange part 11b of this bobbin 11, a recess 17 is provided to contain and hold the connector 15 connected to an end part of the optical fiber coated fiber 13 wound around a drum part 11a of the bobbin 11 to be embedded. The connector 15 fixed to the flange part 11b can thus be prevented from coming into contact with the optical fiber coated fiber 13 or other bobbins 11 or the like.
