<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device having active elements capable of achieving lower electric power consumption while maintaining a good display grade. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal panel 2 is provided with scanning signal lines 31 etc., for supplying scanning signals to gate electrodes 20 etc., of TFTs 14 etc., and data signal lines 32 etc., for supplying data signals to data electrodes 24 etc., of the TFT 14. Electrode pads 27a etc., for auxiliary capacitance for forming the auxiliary capacitance and auxiliary capacitance wiring 33 etc., are disposed in positions not facing the lines 31 etc., avoiding the positions of the lines 31 etc. Reflection electrodes 54b are arranged in such a manner that the points facing the lines 31 for driving the pixels on one line exist and the rewriting frequencies of a screen in this state is controlled to ≤30 Hz.
