PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder in which the interior of the recorder and a recording medium are protected against contamination by capturing ink drops ejected by flushing operation surely. SOLUTION: The inkjet recorder comprises a recording head 2 ejecting an ink drop from a nozzle opening in response to a print signal, a moving means 3 for reciprocating the recording head 2 in the main scanning direction, and a flushing opening 12 provided on the outside of recording range of the recording head 2 wherein the flushing opening 12 is provided with an ink guide member 15 for capturing ink drops ejected by flushing operation of the recording head 2 and guiding the captured ink drops downward. Since ink drops ejected by flushing operation and ink mist generated during flushing operation are captured in the ink passage 16 of the ink guide member 15 and guided downward, contamination is prevented.
