PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make possible a communication of an encrypted identification number without increasing a burden for a user of a subscriber unit and without making excessive delay occur in the start of service. SOLUTION: In the messaging method, a messaging key associated with a subscriber unit reference number is imparted to a subscriber unit (105) and an infra-communication center (101) (203, 403). Next, an identification key and/or an identifier of the subscriber unit (105) is generated by either the subscriber unit (105) or the infra-communication center (101) (300, 407). The identification key and/or the identifier is encrypted with the messaging key (207, 413) and next communicated between the subscriber unit (105) and the infra-communication center (101) (209, 415).
