ANTENNA DEVICE AND PORTABLE UNIT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized, low-loss antenna device. SOLUTION: This antenna device is provided with: an antenna element 12 formed by bending a single conductor 13; a matching circuit 26 connected to the antenna element 12 and formed of a reactance element; and a terminal connected to the matching circuit 26. A resonance frequency consisting of the floating capacity of the conductor 13 and the inductance of the conductor is set outside the frequency band of transmission or reception radio waves. Thus, it is possible to provide an antenna device whose size is miniaturized and whose loss is reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
