PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an excellent endless offset plate causing no pinhole, by using an ink jet printer instead of photolithography. SOLUTION: A roll to be processed which is made to have a rough chrome-plated surface and has water retention is chucked at both ends by a roll chuck rotating means of ink jet printer equipment for platemaking. Ink jet nozzles being brought near to the roll, required relative scanning movements are given to the roll and the nozzles and ink is jetted from the nozzles on the basis of positive information so that an ink fitted part based on the positive information is formed on the roll to be processed.
