PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the unsteadiness of an outer tub when putting in and out washing while suppressing the vibration of an outer case in spin-drying operation. SOLUTION: A motor 20 is provided on the end face side formed at an outer tub drum member 100, and a drying air duct is provided at an end face cover 101 disposed at the relative other end face. Since the end face (the left end face) formed at the outer tub drum member 100 is higher in strength, the motor 20 can be stably mounted. Further, a weight 27 with a prescribed weight is mounted to the right end side bottom part of the outer tub drum member 100 to compensate for lateral weight unbalance due to the motor 20 and the drying air duct. The lateral weight balance of the outer tub 10 is thereby improved to eliminate the inclination of the whole outer tub 10 while suppressing vibration in spin-drying operation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
