PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving the function of a fiber material in excellent durability to improve the added value of the fiber material. SOLUTION: A chemical mixture produced by reacting a water-soluble dichlorotriazine compound with an animal or vegetable protein in the presence of an acid bonding agent under heating is useful as an extremely stable agent to impart excellent wearing comfortableness such as excellent washability and improved strength, moisture retention, touch, etc. A durable functional treatment to increase the added value of the fiber material can be applied by the method.
