The tool body (20) has a handle (21) at one end and a tool mounting (22) at the other end for securing a holder device (10) to the body. The tool mounting comprises a mounting part (23) with a polygonal piece (24) and a substantially cylindrical head part (25). The holder device comprises an insert sleeve (11) with a cylindrical outer mantle, an adapter sleeve (13) with a cylindrical outer mantle, two C-shaped snap rings (120, 121) and a spring (14). The inside of the adapter sleeve has a shape corresponding to that of the polygonal piece and the adapter sleeve is fixed inside the mounting part by this piece, which prevents the sleeve from rotating. Both of the adapter sleeve faces are provided with teeth (131, 132) with different left and right flank pitches, the less steep flanks being located on the same side of the teeth. The insert sleeve has an opening (111) at a first end for locating a tool part and an opening with a shape for cooperating with the head part at the second end. The insert sleeve face at the second end is provided with spaces (113) arranged in the circumferential direction which cooperate with the teeth.
