<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an electrolytic corrosion reaction between a reflective electrode film containing Al or Al alloy and a transparent electrode film formed from ITO, etc., and to inhibit an occurrence of flicker resulting from a residual DC voltage of the reflective electrode film. <P>SOLUTION: The translucent liquid crystal display device has, in its pixel area PX, a transmissive area PXa for casting light from a backlight source and a reflective area PXb for receiving external ambient light. In such a constitution, the transparent electrode film 5 is formed, via a second passivating film 24, on the upper layer (liquid crystal insertion face side) of the reflective film 6 formed on the reflective area PXb on an active matrix substrate 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
