PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera apparatus having the radio clock function while maintaining the size of a camera. SOLUTION: This camera apparatus 10 is provided with a camera case 14 having a first clock means for receiving a standard radio signal indicating a standard time, and for correcting the time according to the signal and a transmitting means for transmitting a time signal equivalent to a time obtained by the first clock means; and a camera 12 having a second clock means for receiving the time signal from the transmitting means, and for correcting the time based on the time signal. Furthermore, the camera apparatus is provided with a detecting means for detecting that a camera is housed in the case. In this camera apparatus, when the camera is detected by the detecting means, the time signal is transmitted from the transmitting means to the camera, and the time of the camera is corrected by the second clock means of the camera. In this case, the camera case is provided with a radio clock function, so that the scale of the camera can be prevented from being increased.
