PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To normally access the information even on an optical disk in which ATIP information and Sub-Q information are unmatched each other. SOLUTION: A system controller makes seeking (the repetition of rough seeking, fine seeking, and track jumping) in S11, determines whether a disk is a DRAW optical disk or not in S12, obtains an address by address reading based on the ATIP information or the Sub-Q information in the case of the DRAW optical disk in S13, obtains an address by address reading based on the Sub-Q information in the case of an optical disk other than the DRAW type in S15, determines whether the obtained address is in a specified sector before a target address or not, and ends seeking to reproduce the data of the address when the address is in the specified sector before the target address.
