PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material having high sensitivity, little fog and little decrease in the sensitivity during storage. SOLUTION: The compound is expressed by general formula (I). In formula (I), Het represents a group having a five, six or seven-member heterocycle which contains at least one nitrogen atom and may contain other hetero atoms except for nitrogen atoms, Q represents a divalent connecting group consisting of atoms or an atomic group including at least one species of carbon atoms, nitrogen atoms, sulfur atoms and oxygen atoms, Hy represents a group of atoms having a hydrazine structure expressed by general formula (II), each of k<SB>1</SB>and k<SB>3</SB>represents 1, 2, 3 or 4, and k<SB>2</SB>represents 1. In formula (II), each of R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>, R<SB>3</SB>and R<SB>4</SB>is a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, and R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>, R<SB>3</SB>and R<SB>4</SB>, R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>3</SB>, or R<SB>2</SB>and R<SB>4</SB>may be coupled to form an alkylene group, however, no oxo group is substituted for the carbon atom directly coupled with the nitrogen atom of hydrazine expressed by Hy.
