PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position adjusting device capable of efficiently performing equipment installation work using one laser device. SOLUTION: This position adjusting device is provided with a first target 3 installed on an electromagnet A and having an aperture 3a through which laser beams emitted from the laser device 2 can pass; a second target 4 installed on the electromagnet A being spaced by a prescribed distance from the first target 3, and having an aperture 4a through which the laser beams having passed through the aperture 3a of the first target 3 can pass; a position adjusting mechanism 5 capable of aligning the first and second targets 3, 4 so that the laser beams emitted from the laser device 2 pass through the aperture 3a of the first target 3 and that the laser beams having passed through the aperture 3a of the first target 3 pass through the aperture 4a of the second target 4; and a distance measuring instrument 6 for measuring the distance to the first target 3.
