PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide position detecting structure for a linear motion rotating shaft that can detect the rotating position of a shaft member with high accuracy with lightweight and compact structure. SOLUTION: In this position detecting structure for the linear motion rotating shaft, a rotating scale 16 is disposed at a linear motion bearing 14, and a rotation sensor 18 is disposed near the linear motion bearing 14.
