PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid machine like a variable displacement vane type compressor capable of smoothly varying a displacement between 100% and 0% and providing high sealability. SOLUTION: This variable displacement fluid machine comprises a pair of movable cylinder half parts 8 radially movable relative to a rotor 7 and in opposed directions relative to each other, a pair of linear guides 31 supporting the movable cylinder half parts on both sides thereof, and a pair of arc-shaped seal parts 33 having a radius slightly larger than that of the rotor 7, guiding the tip of a vane 9 between the end parts of the movable cylinder half parts 8, and sealing a clearance between adjacent working chambers 91 between a delivery port 45 and a suction port 23.
