PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently carry out an earth lifting and loading work even when a sufficient working space can not be vertically secured. SOLUTION: Excavated earth is lifted by a clamshell 4 and thrown into a bottom open bucket 5 and bucket is transferred upward a load base of a carrier vehicle such as a dump truck 1, its bottom is opened, and the earth is loaded on the vehicle. The clam shell is reciprocated between the lifting position and a position above a waiting position of the bucket. The bucket is vertically moved in the waiting position and reciprocated between its lifted position and the position above the bed. The clam shell is hung by a motor-driven hoist 8 self-traveling along a monorail track 7 and moved. The bucket can travel on an elevator track 16 vertically moved by a lifter system like an electric cylinder 15. A fixed track 17 connected to the upward part of the base of the vehicle is connected to the elevator track in the lifted position. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
