METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INSPECTING AND REFORMING PARTS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for automatically performing inspection and reform of molded parts and to provide an apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for inspecting and reforming parts is provided with: a fixing means 10 consisting of a mount 11 and clampers 13 and 15 for fixing a part M to be inspected; a measurement means 50 for measuring the shape and/or dimensions of the part M to be inspected; a discrimination means for discriminating whether the result measured by the measurement means falls within an allowable range (tolerance); and reform means 70Y and 70Z for reforming the shape and/or dimensions of the part by applying quantitatively controlled plastic working to a part of the part M to be inspected. Each means is fixed to the surface of a table 3. The measurement by the measurement means 50, the discrimination by the discrimination means and the reform by the reform means are automatically repeated until the result measured by the measurement means 50 enters in the allowable range (tolerance).
