HOLLOW FIBER MEMBRANE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous hollow fiber membrane which has excellent separation performance and practical strength and the filtration cost with which is made low and to provide a method of manufacturing this membrane. SOLUTION: This hollow fiber membrane is characterized in that it is manufactured by heat-inducing phase separation between a macromolecular compound and a solvent. The manufactured membrane has circular or elliptic minute pores having≥3μm average pore size on the exterior and interior surfaces, the purified water permeation rate is≥30,000 L/m2/hour/98 kPa and fractionated particle size is≥1μm.
