PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a resin film having a high young rate and excellent temperature/humidity dimension stability and to realize a magnetic recording medium superior in high recording density characteristics using this. SOLUTION: Inorganic plate particles of which the average particle diameter is 10∼100nm are included in film resin, thickness of the film is made 1μm or more but less than 10μm. The resin film is used for a non-magnetic support, an undercoat layer including non-magnetic powder and a magnetic layer including magnetic powder are formed at the one side plane, and a back coat layer including non-magnetic powder is formed at the other side plane. In this case, the thickness of the magnetic layer, the undercoat layer, and the non-magnetic supporter are set to 0.09μm or less, 0.9μm or less, 2μm or more but less than 4μm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
