A roadside animal scarer to prevent game crossing dangerous roads has a pair of light emitting elements spaced about 10 cm apart, to simulate the eyes of a predator, e.g. a wolf. The light emitting elements are clipped or glued into the mounting which is suspended via an upper eye, to simulate movement of the predator. A cost effective design uses reflecting elements, while a more expensive design uses photocells, rechargeable batteries and LEDs. The scarer can be further improved by having a small reservoir for an aromatic to simulate chemical warning signs. |
