A display panel and a display device including current drive type display elements and capable of suppressing the phenomenon that accuracy of the pixel gradation expression is deteriorated by the irregularities of transistors formed on the display panel. The display panel includes a current drive type display element, a constant current control line, a constant current line, a current holding circuit, a switch circuit arranged between the current drive type display element and the current holding circuit, a data line for transmitting a data signal having a waveform corresponding to gradation, and a control circuit supplied with the data signal. The current holding circuit outputs, when the constant current control line is inactivated, a drive current of the substantially same value as the constant current supplied via the constant current line when the constant current control line is activated. The control circuit turns on and off the switch circuit in response to the data signal.
