The profile (1) for connecting two C-section profiled rails (2,3) by screws (4) and washers (5) has a support component with two incisions on opposite sides and extending parallel to one another and through which the ends of the open side of the C-sections are inserted. Grooves in the center of these incisions act as a centering aid for the drilling of screw holes. In the profile body are two cut-outs around the center bore with the outer sides angled at 30 degrees, also serving as drilling centering. A thread or threaded steel insert can be located in the center bore.
