[Also in Division E1] A plurality of brackets 2, each of which may be in the form of a flat plate nailed to a rafter 5, provide support for guttering 9 and for a structure of stiff sheet material which forms a soffit 3 and a fascia 4 overlapping the outer edge of and entering the gutter so as to conceal the gutter. A pipe 28 leading from the gutter 8 within the structure 3, 4 is connected to a rainwater down pipe 29. The bracket 2 may be of sheet aluminium or may be injection moulded in polyvinyl chloride, and may be provided with formations 13, 14 which retain the guttering within a recess 8. The bracket may have a notch 10 for receiving a tiling batten 11 and may have formations 15, 16, 17, 27 which co-operate with formations on two separate sheet metal parts 3, 4 whereby these parts are resiliently retained. The parts 3, 4 may be of aluminium, coated metal, polyvinyl chloride or synthetic resin impregnated fibreglass. In a modification, Fig. 4 (not shown), the sheet structure is formed in one piece and is attached to brackets of a generally rectangular shape which are nailed or screwed to a wooden fascia. |
