PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To indicate battery residual capacity in all display modes simultaneously. SOLUTION: A display has an electronic viewfinder and a liquid crystal display panel. The display modes include a first display mode in which the electronic viewfinder is used, a second display mode in which the displaying panel is used, a third display mode in which both the electronic viewfinder and the displaying panel are used, and the fourth display mode in which the display panel is used to exchange information through a communication line. A battery serviceable time at the current battery capacity is calculated according to these display modes, and the serviceable time calculated is displayed on the display as the information of the battery residual capacity. The battery residual capacity (remaining serviceable time) at all the display modes is grasped simultaneously, even while the battery is being charged, so that the remaining serviceable time at any display mode is checked simultaneously.
