PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable and large-capacity information recording and reproducing method which guarantees a stable signal quality in all of recording positions in inner and outer circumferences and performs stable reproduction. SOLUTION: The recording area of a disk recording medium 1 is divided into a plurality of zones 2a to 2f which are sequentially adjacent in the radial direction. A clock for recording and reproduction is allocated to each of the zones 2a to 2f. Data are recorded/reproduced with the clock allocated to each of the zones 2a to 2f. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
